Histopathological tendencies, sex, age and radiological results for lung cancer in the municipality of Sinop – MT

Objective: To describe and improve our understanding of lung cancer epidemiology. Methodology: Retrospective, descriptive analytic epidemiological study, analyzing histological type, sex, age radiological results for in the municipality Sinop – MT during period from 2014 to 2019. Results: 219 lesion biopsies were analyzed. 113 (51.59%) confirmed a diagnosis cancer. The main types histopathology adenocarcinoma totaling 47 (41.59%) cases, followed by squamous cell carcinoma with 27 (23.89%) cases. Regarding 52 (46.02%) cases found women 61 (53.98%) men. In total, type both sexes was adenocarcinoma. age, predominant range 60-69 years 43 (38.05%). relation characteristics tomography imaging nodule location statistically significant, mainly right upper lobe, finding observed other sources, where lobe have greater incidence malignancy. Conclusions: adenocarcinoma, majority malignant lesions occurring men, an 60 69 years. most common image solid larger than 8 mm irregular borders lobe.
